Last night (March 6th) BrazilFoundation held the fundraising event “Miami for Brumadinho” at Grove at Grand Bay in Coconut Grove. Roughly 60 guests attended, including 12 “mineiros”, raising US$ 15,000.
Two hundred guests attended, raising roughly US$ 13,000.
Funds raised by BrazilFoundation and United Way Brasil will be invested in projects through our current Call for Proposals.

In three years BrazilFoundation invested R$ 850,000 in 22 projects through the Minas Fund in the areas of Education, Health, Entrepreneurship, Income Generation and Environment.
The campaign aims to mobilize resources for at least four initiatives in Brumadinho and the affected region.
The dinner raised R$325,000 for projects in Minas Gerais.
The benefit dinner will take place on June 20th at the Museu Inimá de Paula, in Belo Horizonte.

More than 100 supporters came together from across southern Florida to raise resources for social projects in Minas Gerais.
The small get-together, hosted by Adriana Esteves and Rejane de Paula ( Miami Committee), was an opportunity for donors and partners to get to know the projects, their challenges, and to exchange ideas.

Our team recently visited the affected region, identifying some of the major challenges faced by the local population. We are proud to announce four organizations to receive funding through the Minas Fund.
The event in Aspen raised US$4,713
The Minas Fund has raised US$30,000, enough support for three projects.
The Minas Fund will fund projects and organizations that develop social technologies to support the thousands of people affected by the disaster.
