To celebrate the city of Brasilia’s 50th Anniversary, Saccaro, a Brazilian furniture design company, created the “50 years in 5” project. The concept involves five renowned artists – Carlinhos Brown, Oskar Metsavaht, Mauricio Azeredo, Vik Muniz, and Juarez Machado – who have created unique art works inspired by the capital city. The pieces will be exhibited IN the main Brazilian cities. Afterwards they will be auctioned and resources raised will be entirely donated to NGOs chosen by the artists themselves. BrazilFoundation is among the selected non-profit organizations, chosen by Juarez Machado. The exhibition “50 years in 5” is from May 24th through July 12th at Casa Cor, located at the Sao Paulo Jockey Club. The Auction will be take place on June 21st.
