Qualificar é Crescer
The project aims to train unskilled youth and adults for the labor market in Indaiatuba, by offering courses in construction, mechanics and inspection to meet the high demand for skilled work in the region.
The “God and Nature” School offers vocational training courses to adolescents and adults for jobs that are in high demand in the industrial sector of Indaiatuba, São Paulo, where Toyota is based as well as other national and multinational companies. The skills offered by the program will help young people who do not have the option of pursuing a college degree to obtain their first jobs out of high school. For adults, the training can be an opportunity to return to formal work. The project aims to insert adolescents and adults with a low level of education in the promising job market in Indaiatuba, by preparing them for careers as construction workers, auto mechanics and inspectors.
With support from BrazilFoundation, the school will offer new courses in “Quality Inspection,” “Electrical Circuitry Installation,” “Masonry” and “Plumbing.” The resources will also be used for the development of new courses on “Motorcycle Mechanics,” which will train 150 young adults.
