In 2010, Leona stepped aside as Patricia Lobacarro who had been a volunteer and board member for eight years took over as CEO. Under Patricia’s able leadership, we have continued to adjust our grantmaking activities to meet the needs of the changing social conditions in Brazil.

Since that evening in Leona’s apartment, we have raised over $30 million dollars from an increasingly global network over 8,000 registered donors supporting more than 350 social organizations and training nearly two thousand leaders working tirelessly to improve living conditions across the country.

In doing so, we have become a widely recognized leader within the country’s growing social sector, helping initiate a more active culture of giving while providing real opportunities for individuals and businesses who want to get more involved in making a better Brazil.
