In keeping with its mission to support programs that lead to the transformation of social reality in Brazil, the BrazilFoundation launches, for the eleventh consecutive year, its Annual Project Selection. Civil society, non-governmental, and non-profit organizations bearing no affiliation to political or religious organizations can present their proposals, in compliance with the established bid rules, from October 18 to November 30, 2012. More than 500 projects from various cities in Brazil were received, which are now being registered. In the next phase of the selection, the analysts will read, analyze and discuss each proposal to determine the finalists, which will be announced March 1st, 2013, on the BrazilFoundation website.

Two types of grants will be offered this year: a maximum amount of R$40,000 will be awarded for one year to projects in the areas of education, culture, health, socio-economic development, or human rights; a maximum amount of R$80,000 will be awarded for two years to early childhood projects that propose a pedagogical program aimed at childhood, family and community development.
