BrazilFoundation Announces Partnership with ABCR

Representatives and leaders from grantees will receive scholarships to participate in the ABCR Festival

BrazilFoundation is proud to announce a pioneering partnership with Associação Brasileira de Captadores de Recursos (ABCR) which will provide scholarships to 40 project leaders of BrazilFoundation grantees to attend the ABCR 2017 Festival. The three-day festival will focus on fundraising for civil society organizations, offering more than 100 hours of presentations and workshops for 500 participants from around the country.

BrazilFoundation has been holding capacity-building workshops for leaders from grantee organizations every year since 2003. This year their capacity-building workshops will take place together with the ABCR Festival in order to provide the best information possible for those looking to improve their fundraising methods in Brazil.

“Fundraising is the Achilles heel for many organizations. In the USA there are courses and even master’s degrees at big universities dedicated to it, but in Brazil there are few opportunities for its study. The ABCR Festival will bring together the best professionals from Brazil and throughout the world, and we believe that giving the organizations that we support the opportunity to participate can be an important step for their growth and sustainability.” says Patricia Lobaccaro, President and CEO of BrazilFoundation.

The ninth edition of the ABCR Festival will be held in São Paulo from May 17-19 at the Amcham Business Center. Fundraising professionals, representatives from foundations and associations, and students, academics and researchers interested in better-understanding trends in Brazil’s fundraising climate participate in the annual event.
