selection process

BrazilFoundation's selection process looks to identify innovative and strategic initiatives of not-for-profit organizations that confront social inequality in the areas of education, health, human rights, citizenship and culture.

The selection process is open to all nonprofit organizations, without political or religious affiliations, from all regions of the country, that that abide by BrazilFoundation's goals.

criteria for project selection

Proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

1. Close alignment with the proposing institution's mission;

2. Clear potential for development of the institution's capability to perform;

3. The proposed intervention should reflect the needs imposed by the targeted community's social reality;

4. An innovative perspective compared to other initiatives in the same field or region ;

5. An action plan that is effective in terms of the social impact on the targeted community;

6. Demonstration of the potential for the project's sustainability and continuity, with a plan for measurable results that can be accompanied and assessed;

7. The organization's documented legitimacy in its area of action.
