BrazilFoundation's goal is to stimulate social change by supporting the projects of Brazilian not-for-profit organizations that promote a significant social transformation in the reality of communities and specific sectors of society.
All projects must be submitted on BrazilFoundation's standard application forms: the STANDARD APPLICATION FORM accompanied by the PROJECT BUDGET OUTLINE FORM.
Read the guidelines before you fill out the application form.

Applicants must be not-for-profit organizations without religious or political ties.

Each applicant must submit only one project. In case more than one project is submitted by the same organization, ALL of them will be disqualified.

Among those that are not allowed to participate are:
- Individuals.
- Political parties, church groups or any organizations whose projects are associated with some type of political or religious philosophy.
- Organizations belonging to the S System (SENAI, SESI, SESC, SEBRAE), which are nevertheless allowed to be partners of projects submitted by other organizations.

BrazilFoundation will give priority to projects that:
- Have a direct impact in the local community.
- Develop leadership in the areas they work.
- Establish an efficient model that can be replicated by other organizations and are capable of influencing public policies.

Criteria for project selection
- Close alignment with the proposing institution's mission.
- Clear potential for development of the institution's capability to perform.
- The organization's documented legitimacy in its area of action.
- The proposed intervention should reflect the needs imposed by the targeted community's social reality.
- An action plan that is effective in terms of the social impact on the targeted community.

BrazilFoundation does not support projects that focus exclusively in:
- Clinical or medical services (ambulatories, hospitals or home service);
- Travel and conferences;
- Shelters;
- Research;
- Publications;
- Construction, restoration and purchase of furniture or vehicles;
- Events or performances;
- Digital inclusion

BrazilFoundation invests in projects with well-defined goals that can be reached within a one-year period. The amounts of the grants may vary according to the specific needs of each project, up to maximum of R$ 25.000,00 per project.

Only proposals with budgets within the limits established by BrazilFoundation will be accepted (R$ 25.000,00).
|
| 3. |
The organizations selected to receive BrazilFoundation funding will be required to submit two reports: an activity report and a financial report, every quarter after receipt of the grant and at the completion of the project.

Please send your application with printed forms by mail, accompanied by a Word-version on a labeled diskette. Applications sent by fax or e-mail will be disqualified.

Project applications must be sent between October 1st and December 14th of 2007. Projects with postal stamps dated after this period will be disqualified.
Applications must be accompanied by copies of the organization's Statute. Do not attach any original documents to your proposal. Documents will NOT be returned to sender.

After publication of this guidelines, questions regarding the filling of proposals will be answered by phone (55) 21 - 2532-3029, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 2PM to 6 PM. We will not accept collect calls.
